Spring is around the corner!

I'm SO excited spring is almost around the corner!  I am ready for a dry day outside. I think it has been rainning or snowing everyday since christmas!

We are on the count down to our vacation finally!  We are headed to St. Maarten again this year. We went last year for the first time for our Honeymoon and loved it so much, we decided to get a timeshare there! Now we get to to every year :o)

I am so ready to lay on the beach and drink daquris all day!!

Fat tuesday

Today is fast Tuesday!!!

Rain rain ... Finally went way

The rain finally stopped yesterday.  Leaving behind lots of damage!
On monday we received about 7 inches of snow... Then on sunday night it thunderstormed from 9: 00 pm - 5 am.  We were awoke to tornado sirens  at 3: 30 am. Luckily there weren't any tornados in our area, but we awoke to major flooding.  We live just outside of town and didnt receive any flooding but others were not so lucky. Numerous friends and family of ours woke up to a foot of water in their basements, loosing everything they had down there.  in town the streets were so flooded that parked cars were floating into eachother!!  In the county next to us, where most of my family lives, they actually declared a state of emergency.  There is a mobile home park that they think is a total loss, they believe that most of the homes are not able to be saved :(    There was even a brave group of people who rescued dogs from the pound, which was completly flooded. They were able to save 20 of the 24 dogs there, sadly 4 dogs didnt make it.  they are now looking for people to adopt the dogs who are now homeless :( 
Today is hopefully a better day for everyone. The sun is shinning and the water is starting to disappear.

New years eve party

Hope everyone had a great New Year!  We had a blast at our Cowboy and Indian party! I love that everyone participates.  One of our couple friends even found some authentic native american clothing... here are some pictures of everyone!

Scentsy Review and Giveaway!

Scentsy Wickless Candles Review

Scentsy is the coolest thing I have ever found! I no long use candles in my house, I threw them all away!

Scentsy consist of beautiful warmers that warm scented paraffin wax.  Now these are not the typical ‘wax tart’ burners that use a tea light to melt the wax; these warmers us a low watt light bulb to melt the paraffin.  You can actually stick our fingers in the melted paraffin and it wont burn you!  Scentsy also has other great products including Scent Circles, Travel Tins, Scent Paks, Room Spray, Anti-Bacterial Fragrance Foam, and Adorable Scentsy Buddies.

I place my full sized warmer in my dining room with 2 cubes of the Christmas Cottage scent, and you can smell it through my living room, dining room, and kitchen area!  Each bar last roughly 2-4 weeks depending on how many cubes you use at once and how often you burn you paraffin.

After the smell dissipates you can loosen the paraffin (when its solid) with a butter knife and pop it out and throw it away.  But if you just want to change the scent you can melt the paraffin in your warmer and simply pour it back into the package and it reforms the cubes! Then just wipe the excess out with a paper towel and you are ready for a new scent!  It is that easy!

Turkey

I made my very first turkey today and it turned out GREAT!  It was supper moist and full of flavor.  And we have enough left overs for the whole week! (bonus!!) 

So now that thanksgiving is officially over... now starts the Christmas season!

Who went Black Friday shopping??  Did you get any great deals?
I Decided not to go shopping during Black Friday. It is usually super busy and packed so I didn't go this year... but everyone I talked to said that there were crowds but not like the past years. 
Oh well... I think im going to do online shopping this year and skip the stores all together! I tend to spend more when I go to the stores :o)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I will be feasting all day today! I have Thanksgiving at noon with my family at my aunts house, then off to my husbands family Thanksgiving at 4.  I will definitly be in a food coma by the end of the day.


My turkey update...
I cleaned the turkey last night and rubbed the Dry Brine all over it. I used Kosher Salt, Thyme, Rosemary, and Poultry Seasoning. I stuck it in a large plastic oven bag and sealed it up tight.  We will see tomorrow morning if it is working! :)
